I work for a company nearby and one of our employees must have an old account with Tower because they call here nearly daily (sometimes multiple times a day then skip a week after we tell them to stop it). We finally threatened to call the attorney general and file a complaint because we have formally asked Tower Loan to stop calling this as it is a business office line and we have nothing to do with outside workers. At first, they listened and stopped calling for a few days and began again. Another employee (sales) tried to ask them to stop calling and the Tower CSR switched him to someone else without saying so. The girl that picked up (Jaime or Jane, something) was incredibly rude and blew up on the salesman who had been talking to the CSR (Nick), I walked over and picked up the phone to try to reason with her, as I have worked the same job recently. She snapped at me and I asked her to "SHHH so I can tell you the problem!" and apparently she didn't like that and told me to "SHH" my kids, not her and ran off at the mouth for five minutes about "What exactly is your problem? Why you keep calling back if you don't wanna talk?" and I finally asked her to shut her mouth while I told her the problem. She hung up on me twice until I called on my cell. I told her I am busy with calls all day long and we lose accounts if I'm busy on the phone with people who have no business with me or anyone in my office....well, I TRIED to tell her this. Again she got diarrhea of the mouth and claimed she can't do anything about not calling. I told her that YES YOU CAN! It's illegal to continue calling so says fair credit collections act. Anyways, she claimed she was putting me on with the manager - Alan - but it was "Nick" (he let it slip when he picked up). I told him I didn't need to speak with a CSR, to give me the manager. The manager was fairly friendly and said he understood after I gave him the explaination about this being a business and I only see that particular employee once a week when they come to get their paychecks, he SAYS they won't call back. If they do, a complaint will be filed immediately to the state AG.
God it's frustrating.
