1- This is an important consumer advisory- Toyota Motor Credit Company and Toyota Financial Services operates their business in hyper-emotional-punitive manner. Due to recent family tragedy I fell behind on a payment for my vehicle. In fairness I did recieve a warning letter in November but I responded by making a small payment and sending a letter that questioned and contested the warning. I made a payment in early December (there was a problem with the check with this one). I also made another payment on Dec 23rd.

I did not recieve there reply until the evening of 12/30/2008. Intending to investigate the next day I awoke to find my vehicle repossessed. No one came to my door. Toyota stole about $350.00 (including my work-security badge) in personal property not attached to the vehicle.

This organization refuses to acknowledge my attempt to pay in early December and another payment in late December. The repossessed the vehicle under false pretenses and the only protection they have (admittedly it's strong, probably too strong) from abject GRAND THEFT AUTO is a corporate culture that favors the lender not the borrower and a legal system that probably does the same. Do not purchase products from Toyota- they have no ethics in the following areas -- fairness, due process, customer service.

This organization has committed TOTAL APOSTASY from the GOLDEN RULE OF BUSINESS- The customer is always right!!!. Are you in your 30's or older with previous vehicle ownership and history and have access to down payment funds---your not safe either!!!! I niavely traded in a fully loaded Chevy Silverado complete with leather seats, power everything 5.3L V8, paid $1,000 on my credit card and another $1,000 from my checking account and still had relatively high monthly payments for an economy car (Toyota Corolla) and today I'm driving my wife's car to work!!!!!!!

2.) This is ALSO a PUBLIC HEALTH ADVISORY- Persons with chronic medical conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes, Siezures or psychiatric conditions should NOT PURCHASE TOYOTA products. In the event you purchase a Toyota vehicle (even an Echo, Yaris or Corrolla--mine was well over 3 years old!!!) and you either a.) experience financial hardship or b.) make an honest bill paying mistake TOYOTA WILL REPOSSES YOUR VEHICLE without coming to your door to collect your things. Below is a "short, fictional but plausible story" on how this may apply to you:

....Amanda is a 28yr old single mom who has severe asthma. She is or was a real estate agent who has been laid off due to the mortgage meltdown. Amanda's life has detieriorated and she has to drive around, sharing the kids with her ex, picking them up from school or day care and looking for work. Amanda came home one night and left her Albuterol sulfate rescue inhaler in her Toyota RAV 4. She is very tired and also behind on all her bills. At around midnight a storm moves in and the change in temperature causes Amanda to wake up in with shortness of breath. She runs out to her car to find it gone. (It has been repossessed and no one came to her door) The emotional stress of having her car repossesses causes her to go into Status Asthmaticus requiring the paramedics to have to rush her to the hospital. She spends the next day, not paying the impound yard for her car but rather on a ventilator in the ICU.....

Makes you wonder if some of the Japanese management in Toyota are still harboring resentment from September 1st 1945.

Don't by Toyota products.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! I JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING! MAYBE THE EXECUTIVES AT TOYOTA....

AUTHOR: Karl - (U.S.A.)

AND THE EXECUTIVES AT DATELINE NBC, and the executives at 60 Minutes, all got together and 'Googled' this- RIP OFF REPORT #269041, and then they read what the Harvard Business Professor said to his class in late 2004, correct?

And after they read all of that, they MIGHT have contacted all of the executives at NBC & CBS, right? And since General Electric (GE) owns NBC, perhaps the executives at NBC called up all of the executives at GE and had them read it too, huh? Or maybe they just walked down the hallway at 30 Rockefeller Plaza and informed them, right?

And since 60 Minutes is part of CBS, and VIACOM owns CBS, it's quite possible that all of those executives read what the Harvard Business Professor said too, correct?

But wait, they were all sent HARD COPIES of what the Harvard Business Professor said so all they had to do was simply refer to the HARD COPIES that they received in the mail, right?

It's nice to see that TOYOTA sponsored the 'Sunday Night Football Halftime Show' on NBC last year, huh? I wonder if they'll do it again next season? I guess we'll just have to wait & see, huh?

I hope that the Steelers go to the Super Bowl and play the NY Giants. That would be a good game, wouldn't it?

POWER TO THE PEOPLE

P.S. That Harvard Business Professor is certainly ONE SMART COOKIE, isn't he?

Go HARVARD!

IT'S ALSO POSSIBLE THAT THE EXECUTIVES AT TOYOTA.......

AUTHOR: Karl - (U.S.A.)

Simply 'Googled' this- RIP OFF REPORT TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION USA MANIPULATION, and read Charlene's Ripoff Report, and then went to the UPDATE entitled- "SUGGESTION", which was posted on 7-16-2007 and they read this-

QUOTE: 'Just watch what happens to all those 401K's in the next few years. And watch how the Dow Jones Adjusts too.' (end quote)

Maybe they contacted the executives at Dateline NBC, & 60 Minutes, who knew all about this too, and they had a 'chat' about HOW they should keep this quiet so the PEOPLE of America would NOT KNOW, and would be UNABLE to PREPARE for it, huh?

It IS possible, right?

POWER TO THE PEOPLE

P.S. Americans have LOST over $2 TRILLION in their RETIREMENT ACCOUNTS since 7-16-2007. But be quiet! Shhhhhhhhhhhh. Be quiet! Don't tell anyone, O.K.?

MAYBE TOYOTA CORPORATION REALIZES THAT.......

AUTHOR: Karl - (U.S.A.)

MANY CUSTOMERS WERE PUT INTO AUTO LOANS THAT WERE MUCH HIGHER THAN THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN because many Toyota Dealerships will include EXTENDED WARRANTIES, and other things, in the loans without the customer's knowledge and it makes the payment unaffordable for many people?

It is possible, correct? Toyota Corporation has its own 'finance arm' known as TMCC, and they can monitor the amount of people who are delinquent each month, right? Maybe the 'big-shots' at Toyota are now realizing that their Dealer Network was DECEIVING millions of consumers over the past 5 years and many are now unable to pay the monthly payment due to economic reasons, correct?

It is possible, isn't it?

Perhaps the 'big-shots' at Toyota Corporation were ALERTED about the COLLAPSE OF THE U.S. ECONOMY, correct? All they had to do was simply 'Google' this- RIP OFF REPORT GM CREDIT CARD SERVICES, and go to Betty's Ripoff Report from August of 2007 and then read the 1st UPDATE to her Report on 9-3-2007, right?

You see, the 'big-shots' at Toyota Corporation could have been monitoring the web and they knew about the COLLAPSE OF THE U.S. ECONOMY that was destined to take place because it was posted on 9-3-2007, correct?

And since Dateline NBC, & 60 Minutes knew about the COLLAPSE OF THE U.S. ECONOMY back in the summer of 2007, & the STOCK MARKET CRASH, which resulted in Americans LOSING MUCH OF THEIR RETIREMENTS, perhaps Toyota, & Dateline NBC, & 60 Minutes, all got together and prepared for all of this, right?

Since Toyota could have prepared for the COLLAPSE of our economy, they might be realizing that whenever a person is late on their auto payment it might mean that their ASSET (the auto which is still owned by Toyota, or the Bank) could be in jeopardy so they are taking IMMEDIATE ACTION and repossessing the auto and NOT giving the consumer any time to make the payments, correct?

It IS possible, isn't it? Let's face it, Toyota, & Dateline NBC, & 60 Minutes, all have bright, intelligent executives working at those companies, don't they? The executives all over the USA are wonderful people who have placed the American people as their FIRST PRIORITY, right?

Let's HOPE that all of these bright, honest, wonderful, 'leaders' will lead us to the land flowing with MILK & HONEY, O.K.?

WELCOME TO AMERICA- IN FRAUD WE TRUST!

Repo company saved Toyota Financial from adding Petty theft to GTA

AUTHOR: Andrew - (U.S.A.)

The first issue in this update is another example of the slimebuckets at Toyota financial taking the bending the law until you can hear cracks starting. It's what I call theft by inconvenience. My vehicle which was stolen on 12/30 as reported earlier and towed from Oceanside to Le Mesa CA. To give other examples across America thats like repoing a vehicle in Dallas and taking it to a lot in Fort Worth or taking a car from central Houston to a lot in Galveston or a car off of Manhattan island and taking it to a lot well into Long Island. Theft by inconvenience works when your lender takes your car to the outskirts of your area and then bets your property is not worth the time or effort..after that it is auctioned off!!!! I realize this is a frustration filled report but let me be clear the repo people (IN MY CASE ONLY, others may disagree) carry no fault or ill will. They took in upon themselves to gather my property. THey told me the lender techinally can lay siege to that property and sell it. They steal it!!! Period!!, what happens is it rarely gets reported because the mental/financial and legal damage from suffering repossession washes out most people's initiative in pursuing police/criminal or civil action.

IMPORTANT: **IF you own a Toyota product and it is NOT PAID OFF and YOU DO NOT POSSESS THE TITLE DO NOT leave your medications, important documents, personal information, receipts, Bibles, Books, Music items, Navigation systems, police scanners or CB's, CD's, children's toys, your or your childrens school books, work namebadges aprons, hats, sweaters, jackets, sports equipment or other items....DO NOT be decieved by 1- Good trade in vehicle when you purchases your Toyota, 2- Down payment when you purchased your Toyota 3- Monthly partial payments, communication, requests for grace periods, even previous lump sum payments that make your account up to date. 4- The age or number of miles on your vehicle......they will still take your car!!!!!!!!!! If you are thinking about a Toyota vehicle they are great vehicles ONLY FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO CAN PAY THE TOTAL COST OF THE VEHICLE AT TIME OF PURCHASE otherwise it is in your best interest to purchase another type of vehicle.

#8 Consumer Suggestion

The customer is always right?? BS

AUTHOR: D K - (U.S.A.)

I am sorry about you hard times but you have to understand that the finance company paid for the car on your behalf and own the car until it's paid off. They can repo if you miss ONE payment if they want to. and repoing a car when someone can't make payments due to an illness? of course they are going to repo. The bottom line is if you can't pay, they are going to take the car THEY paid for the THEY own back and try to get their money out of it. That's common sense and they have every right to do that.

Typical

AUTHOR: Tim W - (U.S.A.)

While I do not know the specifics of your situation, I can comment that this has been my exact experience with Toyota. They do not care about the customer, and they operate under very questionable pretenses and practices.

Toyota has some lawsuits against it with VERY serious allegations from managers and employees. Look at some of the lawsuits they have settled in the last few years. This company is no longer the Toyota of the late 90's that cared about their customers, and would do whatever they could for customer satisfaction, they have become the typical corporation who doesn't give a crap about consumers.
