Being in need of a phone again, I dug out my old tracfone & purchased a 60 min. airtime card. When I tried to activate my phone I was told (after being put on hold & transfered around) that my card was scanned wrong & I could take it back to the store or fax the card & receipt to them to fix. I was then given a fax & direct line # to call.



I live out of town & knew it could be a while before I got to fax them, so I purchased another 60 min. card on April 15 to get my phone activated & would add the other card later. (the first card purchased in Feb.)



 To activate on line was a total waste of time, so I called customer service, went thru all the codes etc. gave my airtime number & they said ok you are set all set up, but I was showing no airtime. They transfer me & I go thru the whole routine (which by itself takes about 10 min.) again & show no airtime. After being put on hold countless times, they come back on & tell me that pin number has been already been given & I said "Yes, I've given it a couple of times to try & get this phone activated". Then I was told that pin # was added to my phone on March 23 & that the minutes were all used up. "It could'nt have been added on the 23 because I did'nt buy the card until the 15th of April". They said yes you did, our system says so. I said your system is wrong & my phone was'nt even activated to use any minutes. Mamm, our system is never wrong. After telling him twice I have a receipt to prove it, he asks if I have a receipt... then to fax the receipt & both sides of the card. So I faxed both cards and receipts.



The next day I call (with great expectations & even a promo code to get an extra 60 min.added) & go thru the code trip AGAIN, put on hold SEVERAL TIMES, & got the "please bear with me" crap, I was told the min. were put on my card March 23 because thats what the system says, regaurdless of my proof & that the other card isn't good either, theres nothing I can do about it Have a Nice Day. I asked to speak to a supervisor & she said that SHE was the one who took care of these matters. I said so I'm *#@% out of luck & OUT $40.00. she said theres nothing I can do. Can they REALLY get away with this???

I decided I would call tracfone and ask for my call history so they could show me what numbers I called and the dates they were called. I was told I need a warrant or a subpoena. Apparently they don't want to admit they are rippig me off, unless of course I hire a lawyer.
