Trailers Plus (Lakeside CA) Lied, Swindled, deceived Lakeside, California

We recently purchased an enclosed cargo trailer from Trailers Plus in Lakeside California and when we got it home we found several faults with it that the company refuse to address.  When we picked the trailer up we did not notice that there were large dents about two inches deep all over the roof where someone with boots had obviously been walking on the roof. (The boot prints were still visible). We only noticed this damage a day after we got the trailer home when one of us was doing some work up on a ladder a few yards away from the trailer and noticed it. Trailers plus say categorically that they are not going to repair the roof and have given no reasons for this stance.

The trailer sounds like a bucket of loose nuts and bolts going down the road and you can hear it coming from several hundred yards away but you can hardly hear it when you are in the tow vehicle so we did not notice it when we towed it out of the dealer lot. Trailers plus refused to deal with this issue themselves and have referred us to Dexter axle that makes the axles for the vehicle. Unlike trailers plus, Dexter axle have been more than helpful in dealing with this problem and it looks like we are going to be able to sort the noise problem out without further cost to ourselves.

When we ordered the trailer, the dealer did not have our preferred color in the lot. When we checked the prices of trailers that had to be factory ordered we found that they were several hundred dollars more than the ones that were already in the lot. When we asked about this we were told that the latest models had some upgrades and that is why they were more expensive. We nevertheless wanted our preferred color and so we ordered a trailer and the dealer told us it would take about 6 weeks for the factory to build it and deliver it to Lakeside. When we got the trailer home, we looked at the date stamp on the trailer and it was already a year old so obviously this trailer had not just been built as the dealer claimed.
