Their site is intentionally confusing when you try to determine the real differences between the actual 'packages' offered, then they try to get you to buy 'add ons', but the site jumps around until it defaults to the packages, for you to buy !   The worst part is when you start to read the 'fine print' .  You then begin to understand the exclusions that many other people complain about, as Travel Guard / Chartis' excuses for not paying on the policies !  

I went back to my travel agent today.  She (25+ yrs. experience) had exactly the same problems determining the actual coverage, then was unable, as an agent, getting the policy purchased, for me. 

Yeah, I know.  I, finally did get smart, and said "forget it".  She agreed . . . .

I've used Travel Guard for years and their website always seems user-friendly to me. Their call center has also been extremely helpful in explaining plan differeces. One thing I found insightful is to read the description of coverage closely. I see this page on their website... it helped me... http://www.travelguard.com/new_to_travel_insurance/?LangType=1033
