Normally we are very conscientious comsumers and check out businesses before signing any contracts. Well, we are at a vulnerable stage in our lives and got suckered into the TravelBridge scam. After signing the contract, obviously too late, we checked out this company on the internet and found all the horrible reports about them.
We immediately called them to cancel the contract and spoke with two different individuals - they wouldn't commit to a cancellation, instead telling us that it would have to come up for review at a manager's meeting which was to take place last Friday, Jan. 18, 2002. We wrote a letter of cancellation and had it delivered via certified mail. We also returned to the office and handed all of the materials which they had given to us, except for our copy of the contract. They did accept the materials.
I've checked with the Arizona Attorney General's office and all they would tell me is that no law suit has been filed against TravelBridge. They would not comment on any complaints they might have received about TravelBridge.
We are in the process of disputing the credit card charge and will update this report once there is a finding.
In the meantime, anyone doing business with TravelBridge - BEWARE!
