Company Travelbridge Air,LAND & Sea, LTD Address: 17175 Tomball Pkwy Houston,TX 77064 USA Phone Number: (832)912-8812 Owners name: Linda Fellman Sales Manager: Ray Martin The week of August 27,2001 I received a call from this Agency and was told that they had opened up a new travel agency here in Houston and would like to invite us over to see what type of services they provided and that hopefolly when we plan our vacation we would use their service. They also said that we would get a free trip to Las Vegas, New Orleans or a Cruise, I told them "this sounds like a Time Share and we were not interested. They (assured) me,that no one would try and sell us anything and only wanted to show us their new office. Well, when we arrive for our appointment they tried to sell us a membership for over $5,500 dollars. BAD enough being tricked into coming in, it gets much worse, after numerous salesmen tried to get us to buy, they sent in their last ditch salesman to try and HARASS US INTO BUYING THEIR PRODUCT. This salesman started yelling at my wife " I can,t believe your trying to talk him out of this, this is such a great deal how can you not take this" Then before I can say anything, he turns to me and starts to tell me (in an ANGRY AND LOUD TONE)" I can see who wears the pants in your family". When I asked him "what did you say" his response was "I said, I can see who wears the pants in your family". After a few choice words to him and taking every bit of strenght not to go over the table and give him what he deserved, we got up to leave. I complained to the Sales Manager (Ray Martin) who said he would have someone call me and apologize next week and asked me to send a letter to the owner, (which I did) after I called the owner (Linda Fellman)and complained, she also said she would call me back, but three weeks later I have not heard anything from these people. There was also another couple there who recently lost a child and therefore did not want to buy anything right now, they were told "just because you lost a child, your not going to buy this membership" what wrong with you people"? I,m glad I found your site, we need to gets this out to as many people as possible ( BELIEVE ME ) I have told everyone I talk to. Sincerly, Gil

Jim, obviously you have had a good experenance with Travelbridge. Am happy for you, but if you had checked out the other complaints against Travelbridge, you would have seen there are MANY OTHERS who feel the same as I do. At first I thought just the same as you did ( maybe I just picked a bad seed out of the bunch) but after I found this website, I realized that I was not the only one and in fact there were many others. I agree with you 100% you get nothing for free, but like I stated in my complaint, I asked them if this was a timeshare and THEY said no
they just wanted us to come in and see what services they provided and at no time would anyone try and sell us anything, so yes I was mislead from the beginning. your also right when you say not everything is right for everyone, but then they should have left it at that (respected our wishes) and not verbally abuse us like the salesman did. Am sorry Jim, but you were not there to see and hear what happened, but there were quite a few others who not only saw but heard what happed and left the presentation because of this.

Buying is a emotional response. Not every opportunity is right for everyone. If you have a bad meal at a restaurant do you quit eating. If you see a bad movie do you quit watching TV. Do you get my point. Do everyone is going to have a good experience with everything they do. That is the world in which we live. Don't you ruin sometyhing for someone else who may experience a good result from a company.

I agree that no one likes to be sold, but like to buy. That is an individual choice. You have an opinion, and that is all that it is, an opinion. State your opinion and move on. You are just as bad as the pushy salesman that tried to brow beat you. Your comments are in essence trying to brow beat others into taking your bad experience and make it theirs. I am sure that no one treatened you physically.

If you don't like something you have the choice to sit there and take it or you can get up and leave. If your only intent was to get something for free and left without something you lost a little time but you gained a lot of knowledge. THERE IS NO FREE LUNCH.
