You know I'm so tired of these scam artists using false marketing about car insurance. Dear So and So (which is to me I was one of those pre-approved from a credit bureau) Are you paying more than you have to for auto insurance? Travelers can save drivers who switch an average of $468. Basically like so called pre-approved credit and loan offers. See if you can get better coverage at a better price and the letter goes on and brags about how this letter only goes to select people like me huh?., Well they claim on the back page 2 "There's just no reason to pay another company more money when you could get great service from Travelers!" "Use the HUNDREDS of dollars you may save for something else. Clothing, Furniture, Electronics, ANYTHING! But don't pay it to some insurance company that won't give you better service than Travelers.
A big bunch of BS all that pre-approved stuff. Wow these see your Fico score that it right? Mine is 644-680 across all three consumer reporting agencies. They have no business doing what they do using your credit info like banks and lenders do to determine rates about how many claims you may file in the future, how many people with that particular credit speed, etc.Get into accidents..
I NEVER got into one accident my whole life. I got licensed at age 16 and I'm going to be 29. They don't really care about if you have auto insurance this company I have had progressive since I was 24 and my wife's name is on my policy. She had one little scrape on someone's car pulling into a store and they paid out $0.00 and it was at fault but nothing was paid out and its not counted against her.
Well I suppose to be one of their pre-approved for insurance right? Look how they determine your rates:
-Lates in past 7 years (which is a bankruptcy)
-Recently opened account in past 3 years
-Too many credit inquiries
-Chargeoffs (2) of them which someone stole my Identity and I have not been able to get them off my report.
Like I said I have no accidents ever in my life, No speeding tickets, absolutely nothing. No not even a parking ticket but they wanted to charge $101 a month for just liability for a 13 year old Mercury Cougar?
Full coverage with $100 deductables is $150 a month with just me and my wife.
What a rip off they are. I'm currently paying $107 for full coverage and I thought that was rediculus but when I did this quote its sickening.
People lets start writing our legislators and the president and complain about these practices using credit to determine rates on auto insurance. Its just not fair and its BS when they say your pre-approved and can save hundreds and you credit is considered "Good" after 660 according to myfico.com customer service its not the best but I don't deserve these rates for a 16 year old inexperianced driver!
