I booked a holiday with Travel Republic 0n the 18/2/2013 to Tunisia staying at a hotel called Caribbean World Hammamet. My familiy and I arrived on the 05/04/2013 only to find out the hotel is closed and where taken down the road to a new hotel called the Venus Beach hotel Caribbean World.
The coach driver tryed to tell us this was the right hotel as he was unloading our bags. I went to reception and was told yes this was my hotel. I then found out that the hotel I was staying at was infact closed and had been for some time.
I then made a phone call to England to contact Travel Repuplic to find out what was going on.
To cut along story short I got told they could not help me and that I would have to contact the accommodation Provider Travelscape LLC. I would also have to put my complaint in wrighting or send a Email before they could start looking into why this had happened in the first place and why I had not been contacted befor to let me know the hotel was closed.
Travelscape offerd me a new hotel as I was not happy with the Venus beach hotel over 1 hour away and was not allinclusive. I could not understand the person clearley on the other end off the phone when she was talking to me.
As soon as my family and I got home I sent a complaint by Email to Trave Republic to complain and as yet the matter has not been delt with. I only get repsones like this one.
We are writing to update you in connection with your booking with Travelscape LLC which you arranged through Travel Republic.
We regret to advise that we have been unable to obtain a formal response from Travelscape LLC as requested within 28 days.
We have again contacted Travelscape LLC requesting they give your complaint their immediate attention.
We will contact you again as soon as we receive a response from Travelscape LLC or in any event within 14 days from the date of this letter to confirm that we are still actively pursuing a response on your behalf.
All in all what a Ripp Off.
1st got sold a hotel that was not open.
2nd I was never Informed that this Hotel was closed untill we arrived by coach.
3rd sent to a Hotel that was poor. No waterslides working, only being rebuilt, poor food, poor beer and spirits on the all inclusive deal. No information on what the new Hotel had to offer. 1st room was dirty and the hand rail was in poor condition 4th floor up. The hotel seemed to be on shut down mood.
4th Bad Customer Services from Travel Republic and Travelscape. slow to respond to emails. No help on the phone. I had to wait around for hours for phone calls back whilst on holiday.
5th No apology or refund for miss sold hotel, no expencess back as yet.
6th This is the worst one they are still advertising this hotel on there web site and have been all the time as open.
