I became a member of Classmates.com in March of 2008. In July I noticed that there were charges on my statement that I had no idea what they were or where they came from. When I called them I got a CSR and she said they did promotional gifts through Classmates and when you became a member with them you automatically received their promotional gifts. I told them that there was nothing on Classmates about them or receiving any promotions from them. She stated that they did coupons for hotels, rental cars, restaurants, etc. I ask her how they got my debit card number. She assured me that they could only see the last four digits of my debit card number and that they got it from Classmates.com. I told her that I did not authorize any additional charges on my debit card and I wanted them stopped. This was in July and again on my July statement they had made the charge again. I called them back and she assured me that she had taken me off the member list. I told her I was going to be watching my statements for future unauthorized charges from them. I in turn called my bank and spoke with a CSR and he stated that they would refund me the money back. I called TLG back that same day and the CSR assured me that they would refund my money back. A month later I received a refund letter from them to fill out, sent it back to them. Needless to say I have never received a refund back from them or any promotional gifts.
