Recieved an email from this 'company' on 7/05/10 stating a confirmation for a Corporate Office Interview with a date and time. I don't recall applying, but my resume is posted on various job boards and I've been applying for so many jobs that I didn't really question it.
I thought an interview at 10am on a Saturday was odd but went anyways.
When I arrived I was kinda upset because about 20 other candidates showed up. The confirmation didn't seem like it would be a group interview.
Suite 700 is a generic floor in an office building. There was NO signage or logos for Truck Load Support, LLC
Milton Collier, gave the presentation which was over an hour long talking about how logistics is a recession proof business etc. He stressed that anyone is trainable. He was also quite inspiring.
He also mentioned that the GA Dept. of Labor contacted them to create more jobs. Turns out there are only 2 open positions in the "office" , but there are plenty work at home positions.
Everything sounded legit and great except that you had to agree to set up a Toll Free Roll Over Number which is $99. He stressed how software etc. are provided by the company. Mr. Collier claims that the company used to pay the activation fee but no longer does because if someone quits before they make the company money the company loses $99.
The presentation was on point, lots of information, packets with numbers, pay scales.
At the end he said he had a training group coming in and had to get ready. Then he said "I usually don't do this, but if you would like to start today you can stay for the training session and start ASAP and get your Toll Free Roll Over Number account set up today."
I didn't stay. Who hires a entire room of people on the fly?? Without a one on one interview??? If you chose to leave you had to write down a time period for him to call you Monday for a "one on one" interview over the phone.
A few of us chatted after the mass interview and a woman mentioned that she meet him a few years ago doing something similar in the real estate business ( might have been this http://www.free-press-release.com/news/200801/1200939810.html ) Notice the address is the same.
Mr. Collier said that the company started in 2007. After a simple Google search it looks as if the company was incorporated in 2010..... (http://www.lookupbook.com/directory/automobile-sales-and-repair/ga/stockbridge/truck-load-support-llc)
I'm providing a lot of detail because so much of the presentation made sense, and when something is too good to be true it probably is.
