Our car was dropped off at the Tuner Ready shope June 6,2013 for an engine rebuild.  Miguel, a service technician, advised the car would be ready in 2 weeks.  After 2 weeks, Tuner Ready did not call with any information.  My husband had to call them only to be told the engine was not even sent off to the machine shop.  Tuner Ready did not call us with any other information, I called and spoke to the owner - Johnny 3 weeks after no communication and asked him to please call my husband with updates.  As of today the car is not completed, we were told this past Tuesday the car would be ready Thursday.  However the shop manager TJ forgot to call and let us know it was not.  Today, the car is still not complete.  Another "issue" with welding a pipe.  After going to the shop, asking the owner to go get the welder to make sure they were event here as the trust with this company is no more, the owner went into his office, closed the bay door in my face, called my husband to tell him they could no longer deal with this stress, called the police department, said I had threatened them (I only advised the owner he was falling in line with Bad business practice).  I was in no shape, fashion or form yelling, threatening any type of nonsense, did not raise my voice.  I said the magic words "lawsuit if the car wasn't done".    The entire shop is incompetant, rude, and show 0 customer service skills.   The services were paid for in full up front the day the car was dropped off ($2000).   Two months of having a car and it not being complete shows total lack of competency, skill, service value.

the Law regard automotive repair

I have read you're rebuttal , furthermore you can file a civil case for damages, plus file a police report and with your car insurance it seem to me they intentional set out to commit fraud along with destruction of personal property ect. I'm an "ASE MASTER TECH" with over 30 years in automotive repair business, I've never in my career understood how new shops or older ones forgetting simple words "HONESTY" , "RESPECT" " WORK ETHICS".

my clients have been with me all these years and refer their friends&family as well we're talking about mothers, father, son's,daughters, grandchildren, ect. not including clients that coming from "BC", "California", most of are work is custom engine& from the ground-up rebuilds and then daily-drivers. The sad part is being in an wheelchair&diabled has side line me plus being 59 years old so now, I  teach those who are wanting to really learn this trade plust educating comsumers like you from being "Ripoff" ect.

Thank  you for your response. To add further insult to injury after my husband  had the car towed back, the other owner told him he was a bad customer, put her hand on him, and called the police on the tow truck driver because my husband didnt sign paperwork that stated he refused for the shop to complete the work, he said no, you will not fimish it. They would not change the papers.  AND, the axel is off, parts were taking off the car, the wideband for the turbo that he paid for wasnt installed, wires are disconnected, the car is immobile.   Johnny also told my husband he did not want to deal with me, he would rather deal man to man,  and told him well isnt it your car.  My husband told him no, the car is ours.  This is after he claimed i threatened employees, but could not say what i threatened.  Why?  Because i said i was going to the BBB, not violence.  Johnny, and his wife KRsiten are not being honest.

Having said that, because the car was returned to us in that condition, is there anything we can do further?  This is the most awful service.  We have never been so insulted and disrespected.

To sovel your engine problem

I  say never pay up front. Why cause any professional shop doesn't need it, plus they sent it out. on top of that it takes less than two weeks for a complete rebuild, unless certain parts needed. And depending if they're  on back-order add a week. by them not contacting you is poor business ethics. however buying a long block rebuild is about the same price plus it takes less than a-week to get one. furthermore once agin any shop will let you supply you're own engine, the down side is "NO WARRANTY" from the shop. the up side are we're you bought the engine will pay all "COST" if said engine "FAILS" due to "DEFECTS" , now if it "FAILS" due to improper installation by the shop and their techs, are "LIABLE" for another engine&labor and all fluids.

file a claim with the DMV& small claims court in your  city&state, this will benefit you're case, plus call at least two machine shops that do engine-rebuilds and ask them for turn a round time meaning "HOW LONG" will it take ect. This will show said shop failed to comply along with handing over all information about who, why, when, we're said shop doing the engine rebuild ect.
