I had a fully paid up functioning tuneup utilities software programme installed on my pc it was the 2010 version.

I was very happy with it it worked fine and got automatic updates.

For some reason tuneup utilities on an automatic update changed the programme to the 2012 version and then every time the computer loaded it said my programme trial period had expired and that tune up utilities would no longer work on my pc it tells me to pay another fee to them to get the updated code to make this newer programme work.

I feel i should not have to do this. As far as i am aware i did not ask the programme to change from 2010 to 2012 i feel in a way my computer has been hacked by this company and now i am being held to ransom.

I tried to contact them with three e mails and no response. i look on their website for contact details and the number on there is not for them but for the company that takes the payments for them. I manage to get a phone number for them and ring it and its not answered but goes to voice mail and you have to leave details for them to call you back so far no calls back.

Such a shame that a company that has a good product then spoils it by the bad customer service and lack of response to a request for help.

I am one very angry and annoyed and frustrated customer TUNEUP utilities get your act together and make your customer services department work properly

However i have removed the 2012 version from my pc and reloaded the older version and so far no further problems i just hope that when it automatically updates the same thing does not happen.

THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE THE COURTESY TO RESPOND TO ANY E MAILS.

what a shame a large company doesnt value any of its customers enough to even respond, a simple remove and reinstall older version and i would have been happy and not have sent in the original report.
