U-Haul U-Haul Advertised Rates are a Joke Internet

U-Haul states that their rates for vans or small trucks are $19.95 per day or $29.95 per day.  This is not even close to what they charge.  Excluding boxes (which I paid for prior to the move), everything was extra -so my $29.95 per day charge was estimated at at least $147 - and when the truck was returned late, the bill was more like $350.  And, I'd put in $50 worth of gas. 

The "check engine light" was on the entire time.  This was a local move within New York City so there weren't that many miles.  Then, they charged hourly for the truck being returned late (even though they were not even open for at least 14 of those hours).  

The difference between $29.95 per day and five times that alone should be enough to call them out for fraudulent advertising. 

However, an extra day cost another $200!
