at its best!

We have been shipping with UPS for almost five years. During that time we have spent over $20,000.00 per year in shipping with them. For over 2 years our UPS account was on weekly auto debits. UPS cancelled our auto debits with out notifing us, so instead of paying about $400.00 per week, on what we shipped during that week UPS billed us over $3000.00 in one lump sum.I spent about seven hours on the phone setting up a payment plan that was oked by Dana, a "supervisor", but the following day the entie amount was debited from my account.  I called and got no expanation or apology. I flat out told them I was switching shipping companies and was told have a happy holiday and was hung up on. What can brown do for you? Nothing.

Accounting?

Was UPS wrong when it stopped your Auto-Debits without Notification..yes.  But follow this train of thought for a minute.  If your accounting people somehow missed an extra $400/week in the account isn't it possible that they also missed this notification?

So how did it get to $3,000 without your accountant(or who ever manages your accounts) to notice that UPS was no longer being debited.  After all a company that is having trouble coming up with $3,000 would probably notice an extra $400/week in their account that they would not be expecting.

Where even after a week an Accountant who is "on the ball" should have noticed something was not quite right.  Or perhaps they did and they were actually aware that the money was no longer being debited and just didn't feel like informing you.

I flat out told them I was switching shipping companies and was told have a happy holiday and was hung up on.
- And you expect any other company to treat you any differently?

I would suggest you have a responsible person(not the one who was supposedly handling your accounts before) take a look and make sure that there are no other "auto debits" that are no longer being debited.
