Re: Lease #3306470A Nurit 2085, Nurit 2085 Plus

Robert Perez
LadCo Leasing
555 Saint Charles Drive, Suite 200
Thousand Oaks, CA 91360

Dear Robert Perez:

I sent both Nurit terminals without paper to Nova Merchant Group, parent company of Ladco Leasing, according to your website (http://www.novainfo.com/about-us/brands.asp). According to the United States Postal Service it was delivered to Nova Merchant Group, 7300 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920 at 9:49 am on July 23, 2007.

According to Nurits 2085 terminal data sheet a single Nurit 2085 terminal without paper weighs 2 pounds 1 ounce. My Certified Mail Receipt dated July 20th 2007 states the postage paid was $18.30 plus $2.65 certified fee.

Domestic Priority (3 day) postage for 7 lbs 0 ounces from zip code 99709 to zip code 37920 was $18.30. Clearly both Nurits were included if they weigh only 2 pounds 1 ounce each. Power supplies and pin pad included weighed 7 pounds.

In light of your previous threatening phone calls to my home and business, I would like to be reimbursed for the charges taken out of my bank account (account ending in #xxx) for the terminal I sent you on July 20, 2007. This was approximately $30.00 monthly from August 2007 to February 2008. I would also like to reimburse for the stop payments FNBA charge me for two stop payments on 11/07/200/ and 12/10/2007. These charges total $36.00.

Finally, I would like the CEO of Nova Information Systems to take time out of his/her busy schedule to write a letter of sincere apology for the hours I lost researching this and lost productivity your errors have caused my business.

Regards,

Dick

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Returned to the wrong address and in the wrong manner

AUTHOR: David - (U.S.A.)

Mark from Fairbanks Alaska, you didn't ship your terminals to the right address. Your services were through Nova for credit card processing, but the lease was through Ladco. You sent machines to a 50,000 square foot office building and you expected someone to know what to do with them. Instead of simply looking up the address of Nova on their web site, you should have called them to find out if you needed a return authorization label (they provide free shipping via UPS for returns) so they could computer track your return and ensure you're not just claiming you sent back machines when the box could easily have something else... like you were cheating them (hey... consumers cheat too you know).

If Ladco was billing you lease fees for 8 years on a 4 year term, you probably missed or didn't open the letter they would have sent you 30-60 days prior to lease term explaining your options to 1) return the equipment 2) pay a small purchase price usually about $100 and keep the machines or 3) continue paying on a month to month rental basis. Still, if 8 years later you wanted to return the equipment, you should have called Ladco or Nova and informed them you wanted to return the terminals and asked what their procedure given your situation.

If you had done this, you wouldn't be paying for terminals that no one can find right now. I leased my car at a local dealership... but my contract is with a lease finance company. I can't just drop off my car at the dealership and stop paying the lease payments... that's pretty much what you did by shipping your terminals to Nova without any information as to how to ensure you were credited for the return.
