US Bank took out a secured credit card (so my own $500 funding the credit card) have had it for 2 months. First statement came late. Paid the $30 late fee. Second statement didn't come at all. $60 in now. Got Akron, Ohio

After a horrible divorce years ago I've paid cash for my Prius and my house, but when I was looking to move I found I didn't have any credit because I was paying cash for everything.  Opened a secured credit card with US Bank for $500 to build some credit. Never went over the limit, but also never recieved a statement on time. First statement came 2 weeks after the $ was due, so paid the $30 late fee. Second statement never came. Paid the $30 late fee and the rest of the balance and recieved a statement for $3.79 Interest!!  When I called to cancel this credit card and have them credit my checking account the $500 back they 1) would not credit the late fee and 2) I could not cancel the account without a written letter to Card Number Services!!! 

Please beware of US bank this is not the first issue I've had with them.

I gave them a second chance and they seriously blew it!! 

I'll be moving all of my $ into a different bank and suggest you do the same if your $ is with US Bank.
