I found Texas Low Cost Insurance on the internet and requested homeowners insurance quotes. The agent, Patrick Butler is who I spoke with and he charged me $218.00 as a down payment for homeowners insurance. This was on June 7, 2013 and by June 19th I received a notice of cancellation in the mail from US lloyds of Hurst Texas that this policy would be cancelled by July 20th. I have had this home insured with top insurance companies for the past 6 years and never was told that it would be cancelled due to "High Risk of Lost". In the end I was told that $100. of the $218 charged to me would not be refundable and I found another insurance company and cancelled w/ US lloyds effective July 6th. I think that this is unethical business when an agent takes your money and gives you no guidelines as to what insurance company may or may not insure. It's a major RIPOFF!
