I filled out an on line form to renew my passport. Did not provide my passport #. I immediately recieved an order confirmation.
Order confirmation had a comment that said (excludes government and AA fees). This made me nervous as there is no visibility to these fees on the site. I found an official site and the cost was lower so I cancelled with uspassportonline.
