We worked on 250 items taking photo's proving damage, labeling photos and then the process of verifying prices. The amount of work for the comic books was very time consuming. We stuck with it loosing just under 10k in goods. We during all this, over the 3 weeks it took to get the information, we tried repeatedly to contact our adjuster. He would not return any calls we made to him. We were not happy but dealt with it.
When it came time for the adjuster to contact us he posted to our account the list with depreciation of the items which fortunately we have replacement cost insurance. After telling him we refused the settlement offer for LESS THAN HALF of the value of items, he called and explained thats just how we payout loss like this.
We are STILL working on a settlement but lost faith in USAA. So much for the time I spent in the service protecting the young man who when we spoke said he never was in the military. I guess i will contact my insurance commissioner and the attorney general in the state I reside.
