POSTED: Wednesday, October 31, 2012With regard to insurance and filing a claim, the customer mentions that uShip would "not take claim." We do not file claims on behalf of customers. The option to file a claim was present from the second the customer booked his shipment and it was never taken away from that point until the time when he filed. What the customer was told was this: in order to file a damages claim, one first should make sure something is actually damaged. Because the customer refused delivery, he was unable to do so.
The customer calls the driver "USHIPS Driver" which is also inaccurate. To reiterate, uShip doesn't employ or subcontract drivers. We are a website, not a transportation company.
Our phone is working and we are here taking calls. I am not sure why the customer was unable to reach us, but he can certainly leave a voice mail or email us and we're happy to work with him to come to a resolution with the transporter.
