We are a retail Jewelry and manufacturing jewelry company who ships approx. 3000 + packages annually. Usually with very good results.  This we have done for over 40 years with no problems until November 2011, at which time we discovered an individual name Autria Finley in the claims dept. at the USPS in St. Louis, MO.  We shipped a ring to CA in November from AL Insured Mail and the package arrived opened with no contents.  A claim was filed immiediatley and denied by Autria Finley with no reason given. We appealed  once again, denied with no reason given.  One more appeal, one more denial, this time her written request was for us to send documents that we would have to falicify to return the claim. 

 We have explained every humanly way possible only to find out that Autria Finley obviously has the intelligent level of a 3 year old.  Our package was only worth $1100.00, the post office had several other hundred packages to chose from to lose of lesser value.  Bottom line....we shipped, we paid for insurance, the post office lost it!!!  and this apparent mental retarded individual has not intention of honoring any claim, any way, any time....no matter what and is completely unable to correspond in a rational fashion.
