When customer gets home the package is gone. She talked to the Postmistress and the carrier and they said too bad, it was probably stolen. The customer asked why the carrier didn't leave the package at the side of the porch where it couldn't been seen from the street.
Bottom line, we were saving about $1 per package by using USPS over UPS. But this loss wipes out our savings for the whole month. We will no longer be using USPS and will go back to UPS and FED EX for all our packages except those going into PO Boxes.
All that money we gave USPS for "Insurance" was really a waste. The United States Post Office is a real Rip Off!

And if you think FedUPS don't do the same thing, then you're not very bright. THEY DO. My roommate is a transplant survivor and gets medications delivered every single month by UPS. These medications are worth more than any package you send or receive. BY FAR. We're talking tens of thousands of dollars.
And UPS LEAVES THEM ON THE DOORSTEP.
