Uhaul Truck Rentals Uhaul Rips Off Customers With Erroneous Fuel Gauges and Invoices Internet

 The fuel gauge issue is not a U-Haul error, the cab and chasis are sent to us from GM with those options. The reveresed fuel gauge is the standard gauge on a Gm 3500 van cab, not a custom gauge built for the TM series to get free a gallon of free gas. Errors do happen but U-Haul is not desperate for $13.00 in fuel enough to alter fuel gauges.

The audacity of utilizing my 'valid' Ripoff Report, which is substantiated with proof  and U-Haul acknowledgements , as your podium to advertise your company and services....how 'lame' is that? I'll tell you how 'lame' is that....as 'lame' as the 'chump change' offer of a $20.00 VIP certificate to be used for future U-Haul services - VIP = Very Incidental (or Inconsequential) Person? Ya' really missed the point here, didn't ya'....U-Haul apparently is not rectifying the problem, apparently it still exists....it only takes a few lines of computer code - as acknowledged by the U-Haul Rep. who feebly attempted to contact me and left a message, ergo; end of attempt). Being a Business/Info. Tech Consultant, I even know that it only takes a few lines of code. I believe that you should ask the U-Haul BOD what should be done to pacify myself and the 'marketable' masses.

My name is Maria Palmisano and I am with U-Haul International. I first want to offer you my apology for the confusion regarding our fuel gauge. We have two different model 10-foot trucks. One is made by GMC and the other is Toyota. Both have the standard cab, which includes the dash board, for that model. The cab's are not designed solely for the U-Haul Company.  I did verify that a few of the trucks, depending on the year of the model, do indeed have a fuel gauge that you could say are not the conventional gauge or what you might be used to and again, I do apologize for the confusion. As we value you as a customer, I would like to send you a $20.00 VIP Certificate to help offset your inconvenience. The Certificates can be used toward a future purchase or rental on the many products and services U-Haul has to offer. In addition to our basic truck and trailer rentals, we rent pick up trucks and cargo vans. We rent storage units, garden equipment and steam cleaners. We sell boxes, bubble pack, rope and tape.
