Im sure I speak for many, Unimark Truck Transport is a driveaway company that contracts with drivers to deliver deck sets (piggybacks) boom loads (two or more tractors interconnected) and single tractors . Im writing this not as a disguntled employee but to provide informative information to anyone thinking of working for them, I have witnessed Unimarks unfair practices first hand from money being deducted from settlements with no apparent reason, favortism with load selections......,, to drivers sitting around waiting for loads when there are trucks sitting in the yard. But when you ask management there response is those trucks are for drivers that are coming in, I guess there buddies. Whats interesting is a few weeks back a terminal manager and driver were fired for exactly the same thing I'm talking about, kickbacks and bribes. I know people who have left without even getting there settlement or when they did it was unexpectly far less than they anticipated. My phone rings constantly with people I've become aquainted with since being there who are frustrated, angry, and upset but just dont know where to turn to. Also the time it takes to get your settlement is rediculicious typicially anywhere from 3 days to a week, all the while your on the road with expenses day after day. This is not a good company to work for, they treat there drivers like dirt.
