My 11 year old doughter received a credit card and aproval letter for 10K from Union Workers Credit Services. When i tried to call them and give them a piece of my mind, afcorese there was not a phone number listed. How a 11 year old kid can get a credit card, its still a mistery to me. I hope some one pays attention to this website and get this people and lock them up. Everyone please be careful, especially when they ask you to pay $37 to get a credit card. Its a NO NO.

Yes..but..

AUTHOR: Robert - ()

Yes, this company is "misleading" at best and an outright scam at worst.  However, they don't just randomly send out "Approval Letters" they got your Daughters name from somewhere.

The worst case of this is that her name is being used in Identity Theft and she may have several credit cards already under her name...I am not saying this as a fact but something you may want to verify.  You can do this for free by going to

(((link redacted)))

If the link gets redacted just go to annual credit report dot com (removing the spaces and replacing the dot with an actual period.  There are specific instructions for minors under 18 you can find on the site.

The other way they MAY have gotten her name is if someone entered her information into a site that in turn sold her name to this company.  Which is why you need to be VERY careful of who you give your information to..even if it is just your name.  You should also discuss this with your Daughter.

On that note.  When you posted the letter you have again exposed her to identity theft.  You kept your address as well as did not black out her name.  Not that the chances of someone going through an image to pull this info out is really high..but just something you need to be aware of and think about when you are dealing with the Internet.
