After searching for a weightloss product that could help me suppress my appetite, I found Unique Hoodia. After doing some research and reading good reviews online in regards to Unique Hoodia, I decided to go ahead and purchase Unique Hoodia from their official website UniqueHoddia.com. The interesting thing I found about this product, was actually AFTER I had ordered it:

The product is shipped from Great Britain, where the company claims to have the real genuine Hoodia, and documents on their website; (CITES Certificate, Certificate of Analysis, and Annex Certificate), to prove that they do sell authentic Hoodia Gordoni. But how I found out that their product may be a hoax was actually by accident.

I read a report on how to know if you're buying real Hoodia, and in the report it said always check the websites Certificates; and make sure the certificate is showing the name of the importer and the exporter. If the names are blurred out, stay away. Guess what? This is from Unique Hoodia's own website, their CITES Certificate  . If you look in the upper left corner of their CITES Certificate, the importer and exporter is blurred out! This could only mean one thing: they stole a real CITES Certificate from a company who sells real Hoodia, photoshopped it, and blurred it out in hopes that consumers would not pay that any attention Their other certificate (Certificate of Analysis), proves NOTHING, because it does not show their company (UniqueHoodia or Incubationer Ltd) as the company who sent off for these lab testings. It's a fake Certificate of Analysis! The Unique Hoodia Trademark in the background could have easily been photoshopped on the stolen document to make it loom like the testing was done for Unique Hoodia. The proof is in the writings, because no where on that certificate does it name Unique Hoodia as the company who submitted testing! Boo-yeah!

I took screenshots of both certificates and opened them in a link in their original form, that way the company can not go and adulterate their certificates to debunk or deny my findings

I contacted the company {Unique Hoodia}, to speak to someone about the status of my order - ( I ordered one bottle of Unique Hoodia for $54.95); and the sales rep advised me that they would have to email customer support and customer support will get back to me. Customer support did respond to my inquiry, and even provided me with the tracking # for my order - which was through DHL.

I tracked my package through DHL, and they told me my order (along with other Unique Hoodia shipments), were being held by US customs for clearance. Here is a screenshot of that tracking here: DHL Tracking. I was contacted by DHL stating that my product along with the other Unique Hoodia orders were being shipped back to the shipper..and Why???; because they could not provide US Customs with a CITES CERTIFICATE!!!!

Let me break this down in laments terms: In order for a supplement shipped from another country to make it past US Customs, is the company have to provide a REAL CITES Certificate to PROVE the product was monitored by the Govt and harvested from natural resources from the country of Origin. Unique Hoodia could NOT do that, because they do not have the REAL Hoodia Gordoni! What is it that is actually inside the pills is anyone's guess, but it ain't Hoodia... And it my experience didn't end there:

I contacted Unique Hoodia again (through email), and I told them about their product needing a CITES Certificate to get through to US Customs. I let them know the shippers at DHL told me this; guess what???; not even 10mins later, I had received an email from Incubationer Ltd that I will be receiving a refund! Here is my refund notification here: Refund

Sad part is, I found all of this out after purchasing the product. Even though I received my money back, It makes me wonder how many other people who has been frauded.

Another note: Notice that you can never find anyone in the USA who has used Hoodia; that is because no one in the US can get them because they do not get through to US Customs. The reviews about Unique Hoodia online are from people in other countries. And on their own website (Unique Hoodia), not even people in their own country can but this stuff. It says:

This site receives traffic from organic search engine positions, EBAY/AMAZON and a variety of paid sources including paid for affiliate traffic, banner advertising and sponsored articles. UniqueHoodia.com is not intended for visitors or potential customers from the United Kingdom. This product is NOT available to be sold in the United Kingdom or to customers from the United Kingdom.

READ THE FINE PRINT! Buyer beware. Just because these websites have these certificates, does not mean they are real.
