United Air Duct & Carpet Cleaning Unneeded service and damaged a/c units Dallas Texas

The company had a reasonable offer to clean our air ducts but they ended up charging a huge amount for mold remediation. I should have looked up more info on the company but after paying the bill (there was mold what was I going to do). I found out they charged us extra but didn't itemize for a waranty on top of a greatly inflated price for the work. Also after talking to my A/C guy the mold protection wasn't needed, just a little from the air compressor condisation is normal.

That is not the worst part. They have people cleaning the ducts that don't realize that leaning on the furnace will put it out of balance. That caused the water from the air coil condisation to run the wrong way. Since the drip pans(which have never had water in them) were their everything would have been ok except they stepped on the pvc pipes carrying the water away. They broke the seal and I have water damage below where they worked.

That is still not the worst part. They damaged the air coil in two of my units. I was told today by the HVAC person that these parts are fragile and that any duct cleaning company should know that. The bill for the two new air coils and adjustment of the units so the water flows correctly will be $2700. The original $249.95 deal to clean the ducts doesn't sound so good anymore. Plus United Air Duct doesn't answer their phone. Don't bother leaving a message as they won't call you back.
