Heres a fun fact!  United Airlines pulls in $150 MILLION dollars per year in change fees! $150,000,000 dollars in change fees from its loyal customers!  I booked a flight, 3 months in advance.  I have a situation for work come up and I try to reschedule my flight a mere 2 days after it has been booked- $150 EACH WAY to change my flights.  This sort of absorbanent fee is in no way reasonable or justifiable.  A fee, sure, $75, $100 to have someone who barely speaks English at your call center push a button to change the flights, that sounds reasonable.  300 bucks?  F U.

United, didn't the American Tax payer bail your sorry company out a few years back when it was failing for the same reason it continues to fail?  People who have the grace to still purchase tickets from you should not be rewarded by you profiteering from change fees 2 days after booking a flight 3 months in advance.  Complete and total BS.

This is precisely why you had to file chapter 11 AFTER we all bailed you out.  Your service sucks, your view towards satisfying your customer base sucks.  Thats not opinion, thats fact.  Just google "United airlines reviews" to see the public opinion about your "service".  So long as I live, I will tell every single person I meet about the horrible experience I have had with your airlines.

Congratulations on making a dollar off from my unfortunate situation- Rest assured that that dollar will cost you thousands upon thousands in lost business from myself, my company, and everyone that I know over the period of my life time and my future generations. Here is the first of many complaint boards and forums for me to let the world know about you.

UAL wasn't bailed out.

AUTHOR: Brian - (United States of America)

United Airlines was twice rejected for bailouts by the Air Transportation Stabilization Board, that's why they filed for bankruptcy.

Change fees are common for most airlines, usually $100 to $150 per flight.  I'm not saying that it's right or justified.  It's something you have to take into consideration when booking so far in advance.

I hate absorbanent fees!

AUTHOR: TWSM - (USA)

I flew United once, it only took me once to learn.  News flash - United sucks, has always sucked, and probably will always suck.  I can't believe you never got the memo. If (((competitors' names redacted))) doesn't fly there you're probably better off not going.  If you have to go, then prepare yourself for getting screwed by the airlines.  It wont be pretty.

sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company, ..plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome.
