Besides the fact that I never received the gas card, (I didn't really expect to) these companies don't offer anything worthwhile. ID sentinel alert is supposed to prevent identity theft. How do they do that? By notifying you when your bank receives a change of address request. But guess what? Banks are required to contact you themselves when they receive a change of address request.
Benefit Advantage offers bargains on products not worth buying the first time, and those products that I checked were of equal value compared to my local store. But then they rack up the shipping and handling fees.
Ironically, when I called both companies the same day to cancel, I heard similar messages to hold recorded by a very similar sounding voice, the same song played while on hold, and wouldn't you know? I received the same operator (Sue) for my calls to both companies!
So they've finally found that by selling more worthless services they can get more money. We should all be so thankful.
By the way, if you are stuck with these people and can't get a number to cancel your account, try 1-800-480-6936 for UBA and 1-800-498-5702 for ID sentinel Alert.
