On June 27th, I recieved a call from United Card Services. The represenative I spoke with said her name was "Yvonne", she has a very thick accent sounding somewhat like an English or Scottish accent. Anyway, so she gave me this story about a card that had no annual fee, no security deposit only a one time processing fee of 299. She sounds very sincere and so I took the bait.

She said that the fee would be debited from my account on July 3. I asked her if there was a billing number I could call in case I didn't have the 299 on the third and she gave me a number to call in case I needed an extension which is 1866-812-9987. She said to call 2 days in advance. So I called this morning and was suprised to find that the mailbox to the number I called was full. I tried calling the number that showed up on my caller ID which is 416-481-1538 and that number was unreachable. So I called the 866 number again and was once again suprised, there was a new recording on with a guy saying, please leave your name, number, blah blah blah.

By this time I'm really angry and I decided to email them. Come to find out, the only result I got with the name United Card Services was with the bad business bureau. Thank God for this site. So I called my bank and put a freeze on my account.

Advice: even if you put a stop payment on the amount United Card Services can always request less or more to be debited. You can only put a stop payment on exact amounts. After that was done I called the 866 number again and left a nice message that went something like this, hello this is Katherine, ha ha ha ha,ha ha ha ha, tried to fool me, I got you first, ha ha ha ha, you're all going to hell, you can't have any of my money...you all get the message.

This website really helped me, I hope my story can help someone too. They sound so professional and helpful and concerned. I think this is an example from the bible, "devil in sheeps clothing". If you did get scammed, don't worry, all those people who work for United Card Services are all perverts, child molestors, murderers, necrophiliacs, zoophiles (has sex with animals), the lowest form of humans. They can actually sleep at night knowing what they do. It'll be a cold day in hell before those jerks get any money from me. I hope you all can get your money back. Good people always come out on top.

Jessica: Honest Employee? Reward for you.

AUTHOR: Ageel - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, July 07, 2003

Note to Jessica, the UCS rep. Sounds like you think you are an honest employee. Do you not know that your company is scamming people for their money and not sending out any credit cards? If you truly answer the phones, do you not hear of the hundreds of people complaining about this? How would you feel if you were conned like we were?

My suggestion to you is to try and help bring these con artists to justice. As it is, reports have already been filed with the Attorney General, FCC, FTC about your company. Its only a matter of time before UCS comes crashing down. Will you go down with it? Your excuse of feeding your family will be null and void.

You could clear your conscience by helping give out info about the real company address, company head, owner's phone number...etc. And as an added incentive, we could set up a fund where we could donate some money for your efforts. If everyone who got scammed gave you $10 from their refunded money, it could add up to quite a bit of money. If 1000 people get their refunds, you could make $10,000. That would be enough to feed your family till you get another job. And this would be honest money, not what you are making right now.

Send a rebuttal if you agree with this plan.

Isn't it funny that an employee finally writes a rebuttal?

I guess all it took was to call you guys a bunch a pervs to set you off. How did you feel about your job after reading the rest of the complaints? Oh I forgot, you just needed a job. Doesn't matter that you're lying to people on a daily basis and hurting other people as long as your family has food. "it's a job" is the dumbest excuse I've ever heard. You can be a hooker too but is that too below your standards? No matter where you work, you represent your company, you are just as much as fault. You should always treat others how you want to be treated. So if I was the one working for a bunch of scam artists, feel free to call me whatever you like. Truth of the matter is I sleep very well at night making an honest living. And your claims that you do answer phones is crap. You guys answer phones when you feel like it. And you shouldn't "try" to call people back when they leave a message. Trying isn't an excuse, you SHOULD ALWAYS call a customer back, hence your job title Customer Service. Maybe that's why you guys are on the phone all day long because you don't answer or respond. That's also why the mailbox is always full. It's so funny how you guys kept calling me on the 3rd (day you were supposed to steal my money). You guys called me 5 times in a period of 5 minutes. I was too busy laughing my butt off to answer the phone. Don't you morons get it? Now stop harassing me.

being lumped in as a pervert etc, I AM NOT ANY OF THOSE! I work for UCS in the Customer Service Department, this is a job. We all need to work and I needed a job. I may not work for the best company in the world but for now it is helping to keep my rent paid and food on the table for myself and my family. We DO answer the phones, we DO send out product and we DO try to call back people that have left messages. When all CSR's are on the phone the system automatically shunts people to the voice mail. Between taking calls and making calls, the CSR's are almost always on the phones.

I don't mind if you don't like the company, but PLEASE! 99% of the employees are just following the script given them and the rest is up to the head's of the company. Would you like to be lumped in with those kinds of people if it were your company that had this problem? I would certainly hope not.
