On 11/18/2010 I aplied for a $300.00 loan from United Cas Loans to help make it through Christmas.  I was to pay back $390.00 in return.  I recieved $300.00 on 11/19/2010.  My payments started on 12/16/2010 and as of today ( 4/2/2011 ) the still have not stopped.  They have taken a total of $910.00 and are still planning on taking more.  Being the only person in my home with a income & a fixed one at that thisis just making me sick.  PLEASE HELP ME!!!

What does your contract say?

AUTHOR: MovingForward - (United States of America)

I have never had a payday loan - but they must have had you sign a contract agreeing to repay $X when you borrowed the $300. You say the repayment was $390, but that can't be right or they would have stopped taking funds from your bank account when they received the $390.

What are the repayment terms? If you agreed to repay the loan, there must be interest and fees detailed in the contract. Look up your contract, post it here (or at least post the terms).

Don't turn this problem into a bigger problem than it already is! If they have taken too much from you, then notify them and take them to small claims court. Collect your refund PLUS damages. Closing your account won't help without stopping the entire problem.

good advice

AUTHOR: Stacey - (U.S.A.)

But be forewarned - they will send this to a collection agency I guarantee.  Happened to me, sued the collection agency and won.  Sending a cease communications does not help - that is only for third party debt collectors.  Close the account!!!
Let them come after you - you keep all your bank statements that show how much you paid these scumbags!~
Good luck and take care - you can win.

What I would do..

AUTHOR: Damian - (United States of America)

I would go to the bank on Monday and have that account that was used to pay this loan closed.

Have a new account opened and let the bank know what is going on.

Keep copies of all receipts you paid on this loan.Do not pay another dime to these scams.

If they start their phone harassment send in writing a cease letter telling them to not contact you by phone again.

Send the letter certified.

This scam will never stop until you stop it.

Let them threaten you all they want. Do not pay another dime and close down their personal piggy bank.

Good luck.
