United Circulation LLC Bamboozled With Magazine Scam in Hollywood, California Cedar Falls, Iowa

I thought the same as you, once. I had a pair of charming salespeople come to my house and give me their fake spiel. I blamed the company for letting these people scam my neighborhood. However, the company "United Circulation LLC " is just a clearing house for these people. On their receipts it states that they are NOT affiliated with any SCHOOLS, CHARITIES, STUDENTS, or FUNDRAISERS. I called the office and talked to them about their shady salespeople and this was all explained to me. The people in the office are great. I told them I cancelled my order and put a stop payment on my check and they were nice enough to offer to send me my check back. A week later, I received it in the mail. I would be willing to buy magazines from the Independent Contractor's that use United Circulation as a clearing house, as long as they don't tell me they are my neighbor or that they are a student. 

All I have to say is next time, do better research and stick to real facts. It is easy to go to any website where ANYONE can post whatever they want, whenever they want. I could make a million fake accounts on a site like this and write whatever about whatever company I want to. Doesn't mean that its true. By the way, you should read all the "Ripoff Reports" on national chains like Wal-mart or McDonald's.
