While I was out a man called my mother and she thought he said he was from Publishers Clearing House and she had won something and someone would be by our home the following week, his name was Jay Lewis. He also told her that a woman would be calling her in about ten minutes to verify everything they had discussed. He had mentioned several magazines to her but she did not say ok to him. And sure enough, a woman called in about 10 minutes. Her name was Sherry White and somehow she had so much of my mother's info, such as,address;bank name;last check# used and even her bank account #. So my trusting mother let her talk her into trying a magazine for the amazing price of $86.38 for 9 months. I am still unsure if the subscription was for nine months or if they would raid her bank account for 9 months. But luckily, my mom told me about this as soon as I got home and I immediately called customer service at her bank. Again on the lucky side, her bank was more than helpful. Although they were limited in their actions they did check for any unusual activity and put an alert on her account until we could get in to cancel her account and open a new one. People that do things like this to trusting seniors will have to answer to God for their actions. that is a good thing because I am not so forgiving!!!!! Also their phone # was 1-888-931-3237.
