Universal Fidelity, LP is attempting collection for a defunct Hollywood Video rental for a movie I don't even remember ever seeing. Hollywood Video had my cc on file and they could have easily charged it had I been late returning it. So now, 4 year later, they determine my perfect credit score should be damaged for a bogus fee of $7.95?

There is no proof, no paperwork - if you send this type of request out to 500,000 consumers who once used Hollywood Video and just 1% of them pay the requested amount to make Universal Fidelity go away - that's a boatload of felonious money collected.

Don't let these shysters scare you into sending payment - make them send you all the records they have with your signature on it authorizing the rental.
