Universal limousine and Private Car Inc. is a joke. We had a pickup set up with this company at a specific location at a pre-arranged time. They called me to tell me that they had another pick-up to do and wanted me to be 15 minutes early for pick-up. I accommodated them and the driver never showed up. I called them to see whats up and the person tells me that the driver is there. Liar Liar. No driver. Spoke to the manager the next day and he threatens me with jail if I don't pay. This guy is an idiot. He says that he has gps tracking and the driver was there. I have gps tracking at my business and it is easy to print off that info and prove that he had a driver there, but he refused to do that. He has now charged my credit card for a driver and car that never showed up. He is a real sharp businessman to lose a customer for just over a hundred bucks.

All lies

I worked at universal limousine and private car inc briefly before i quit.. For one , all they do is lie and cheat and steal.. Especially to their clients.. The owner gordon simic and his wife christina ( the real owners ) taught us to manipulate and lie.. Lie about their location, who owns the place .. Why things went wrong .. Ect..

Also, gordon was a money hungry crook.. And i have never been spoken to so poorly in all my life .. I have heard him threatening many other employees for various reasons and swearing constantly and always yelling and humiliating people..

Oh, not to mention his checks always bounce come pay day.. He never has the correct amounts in his accounts..

He also asks innapropriate questions during interviews.. Any "rebuttle" , especially in all caps , will be made from his wife .. Who he trained to lie properly..

I recieved many phone calls from customers angry and wanting to complain, and again, was told to lie and say we moved , got new owners, ect..

Don't work for him.. And especially don't use limo's from him. He also owns universal taxi and morton taxi .. Based out of addison illinois.. Off swift road .

MY NAME IS MICHAEL ROBBINS, OWNER OF UNIVERSAL LIMOUSINE & PRIVATE CAR.  I WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGIZE TO MR. GREG CHAPMAN FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THAT HE INDURED ON 8/16/09.  AS AGREED UPON AND CONFIRMED VIA EMAIL, MR. GREG RESERVED A STRETCH LIMOUSINE FOR 2:45AM PICKING UP AT WRIGLEY FIELD AND TAKING HIM AND HIS PARTY TO ST. CHARLES.  A MEMBER OF MR. CHAPMAN'S PARTY PHONED OUR DISPATCH AT 1:00AM (1HR 45MIN) EARLIER THAN THE SCHEDULED TIME REQUESTING THE CAR COME ASAP.  THE DISPATCHER RESPONDED STATING THAT THE CAR IS 35 MINUTES FROM THE PICK UP LOCATION ACCORDING TO OUR GPS MONITORING SYSTEM.  AS A CONVENIENCE, THE DISPATCHER OFFERED TO CALL MR. CHAPMAN ON HIS CELL WHEN THE CAR ARRIVED.  MR. CHAPMAN'S FRIEND CONFIRMED WITH HIM AND ASKED TO MEET THE CAR IN THE MCDONALDS PARKING LOT ACROSS FROM WRIGLEY FIELD , (ADDISON & CLARK) .  AT 1:16AM MR. CHAPMAN HIMSELF CALLED OUR DISPATCH, QUESTIONING THE ARRIVAL TIME OF THEIR VEHICLE.  THE DISPATCHER AGAIN REITERATED THE SAME INFORMATION - THE DRIVER IS ON THE WAY AND NOW LESS THAN 20 MINUTES AWAY FROM THE MCDONALDS.  AGAIN THE DISPATCHER TOLD MR. CHAPMAN THAT HE WOULD CALL HIS CELL THE MOMENT THE DRIVER ARRIVE AND EXPRESSED TO HIM THAT HE WAS REQUESTING AN EARLIER PICK UP THAN ARRANGED WHICH WASN'T A PROBLEM, HOWEVER SAFETY IS THE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY AND WE DO NOT EVER RUSH OUR DRIVERS.  AGAIN MR. CHAPMAN ACKNOWLEDGED THAT HE WOULD WAIT FOR OUR CALL.  FROM 1:20AM UNTIL 1:32AM, MR. CHAPMAN AND HIS FEMALE FRIEND PHONED OUR OFFICE 8 TIMES.  AT 1:34AM THE DRIVER ACKNOWLEDGED HIS ARRIVAL AT THE MCDONALDS PARKING LOT ACROSS FROM WRIGLEY FIELD AND OUR DISPATCHER CALLED MR. CHAPMANS CELL PHONE.  MR. CHAPMAN DID NOT ANSWER AND A VOICEMAIL WAS LEFT CONFIRMING THE ARRIVAL OF OUR DRIVER AT THE MCDONALDS ACROSS FROM WRIGLEY FIELD.  THE DRIVER WAS WAITING TO LOAD THE CLIENTS.  AGAIN AT 1:50AM, DISPATCH PHONE MR. CHAPMAN'S CELL AS WELL AS HIS FEMALE FRIEND WHO ORIGINALLY CALLED IN.  BOTH CALLS WENT TO VOICEMAIL AND AGAIN VOICE MESSAGES WERE LEFT.  AT 2:10AM, MR. CHAPMAN FINALLY ANSWERED AND HE EXPLAINED THAT MEMBERS OF HIS PARTY WERE INVOLVED IN A FIGHT WITHIN THE BAR THEY WERE IN AND THAT HE COULD NOT FIND HIS FRIENDS.  HE CONTINUED BY ASKING US TO WAIT AND SAID HE WAS ON THE WAY OUT OF THE BAR.  OUR DISPATCHER INSTRUCTED THE DRIVER TO WAIT AND STAND OUTSIDE OF HIS CAR WITH A UNIVERSAL LIMOUSINE SIGN IN HIS HAND, IN AN ATTEMPT TO LOCATE HIS PASSENGERS.  AT 2:25AM STILL NO PASSENGERS.  DISPATCH PHONED MR. CHAPMAN 14 TIMES BETWEEN 2:25AM - 3:00AM, CONTINUING TO LEAVE MESSAGES.  AT 3:04AM, MR. CHAPMAN FINALLY ANSWERED, STATING THAT HE WAS WALKING OUT TO MEET HIS CAR AND WOULD BE GOING HOME WITHIN 5 MINUTES.  OUR GPS SYSTEM LOGGED OUR DRIVER AT THE MCDONALDS THE ENTIRE TIME, OUR PHONE SYSTEM RECORDED ALL OF THE PHONE CALLS, ATTEMPTS, AND VOICE MAIL MESSAGES TO MR. CHAPMAN.  AT 3:40AM, A FINAL CALL WAS MADE TO MR. CHAPMAN AND HE ANSWERED. DISPATCHER EXPLAINED THAT HE WOULD NEED TO LOAD WITHIN 10 MINUTES, WE HAD SURPASSED THE GRACE PERIOD OF WAITING, AND AFTER FAILED NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS, MR. CHAPMAN SAID HE WASN'T READY TO LEAVE AND TO SEND THE DRIVER AWAY, THEY WOULD FIND OTHER MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION.  THE DISPATCHER ALSO REMINDED MR. CHAPMAN THAT HE WOULD BE CHARGED FOR THE RIDE AND MR. CHAPMAN REPLIED " IT WAS A BAD NIGHT AND HE NEEDED TO LOCATE ALL OF HIS INTOXICATED FRIENDS FIRST".  AT 3:50AM THE DRIVER PROCEEDED TO HIS NEXT PICK UP.  AT 4:30AM MR. CHAPMAN CALLED WANTING A DRIVER TO COME PICK HIS PARTY UP.  DISPATCHER EXPLAINED IT WOULD BE AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR ANOTHER PICK UP.  MR. CHAPMAN SAID NO PROBLEM, SEND HIM AND THE ETA WAS GIVEN TO THE CUSTOMER AS 5:20AM.  WITHIN THE NEXT 30 MINUTES THIS PARTY CALLED OUR OFFICES AND WAS RECORDED CANCELLING THE VEHICLE 7 TIMES AND CALLING BACK TO RESCHEDULE 6 MORE TIMES.  WHEN THE SECOND DRIVER ARRIVED WE PHONED MR. CHAPMAN AND HE NEVER ANSWERED HIS PHONE.  THIS DRIVER STAYED AT THE LOCATION AN ADDITIONAL 30 MINUTES AND NEVER LOADED HIS PASSENGERS.  MR. CHAPMAN WAS CHARGED A 1 TIME FEE AS ORIGINALLY AGREED UPON OF $168.00.  ON THE FOLLOWING MONDAY, HE CALLED CONCERNED ABOUT THE CHARGES.  I EXPLAINED THAT HE WOULD ONLY BE CHARGED FOR THE 1 PICK UP, NOT 2 THAT HE REQUESTED AND THAT THE 1ST DRIVER STILL HAD TO BE PAID, AND THE COMPANY PAID THE 2ND DRIVER FOR HIS TRIP.  WE PROVIDED A SERVICE, HANDLED THE SITUATION PROFESSIONALLY AND DO VALUE OUR CUSTOMERS.  IF MR. CHAPMAN WOULD ACTUALLY LIKE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR SERVICES IN THE FUTURE, HE IS MORE THAN WELCOME.
