I have since spoken with Sallie Mae as well as my other loan provider I am paying on and University of Phoenix is who hasn't answered my calls yet. I did some research and found I am not the first person to experience this.
Be aware of University of Phoenix and get everything in writing if they have you pay them and tell you the loan balance is paid. I now have to fight to fix something I never knew was a problem until now. And my credit is what is getting ruined because of this.
