University of Phoenix Financial Aid Rip Off , Internet

I was a student at the University of Phoenix since 07. I completed my Associates degree there and everything was going smooth with bachelors degree until the last six months of my degree. My financial Aid started to get messed over and I got was that my pell was re-calculating. No one in the financial office could give me a direct answer as to why this kept happening.

 I requested a leave of absence to concentrate on some health issue and academic advisor did get the form submitted in time and it was not approved. So i called and had her to do it over. In the mean time I stayed in contact with both my academic and financail advisor concerning my financial aid because I knew that I could not afford any out of expenses, I relied on financial aid to help me through my schooling.

November 2011 I recieved a letter from financial aid saying that I owed 1380 for class that I had not even taken yet. My financail advisor informed me I had been awarded to much aid money and my remaining balance wass returned to the lender.

 I would always calculate my financial aid myself and I know I had enough money to cover the last class that I had taken and I did not start another class. My complaint is that phoenix was paid the money for my class and now they are saying that I owe them this money bcause my finanacial aid wass not earned. My account is now in collections because I have no money to pay this bill and I was 18 credits away from finishing my bachelors degree where I would have graduated this July 2012.

 I think phoenix and their financial department should be held liable for the money they receive and the students that they mess over.
