I was trying to get back on my feet after being discharged from the U.S. Army when I saw an ad in the Pennysaver for the Postal Service, stating that they were hiring for a starting pay of 20/hr. I was working back at my minimum wage job I had before the service, so it sounded pretty good to me. I called the 800 number where I answered automated questions then spoke to an actual customer serivce representative. The job sounded amazing, but I guess it was just a little TOO good to be true. I gave them my credit card info, and about seven to ten days later I received my study guide booklet.

I went to register online to set up a date to take the postal service test, when none of the websites or links given worked at all. I thought maybe the internet was acting up, until I accidentally clicked on a link that took me the Ripoff Report website. I was crushed. I thought I had finally found a job worth pursuing.

Instead, I'm left in more credit card debt and still with a cruddy minimum wage job. Way to treat your fellow Americans, let alone a veteran you con artists.

We apologize for the misconception but we can still help you find a job.

Dutchchick3,

We apologize for the misconception but we can still help you find a job.

US Work Alliance/Exam Services is not a scam. We are an independent private company that provides study materials for those who want help preparing for the Postal Battery Exam. In the same way that many independent companies offer study guides for the SAT or LSAT to help students achieve a better score on those tests, we offer an extensive study guide and other educational materials to help people better prepare for the Postal Battery Exam. The Postal Battery Exam is a competitive exam that can be taken only once every twelve months and candidates must pass with a minimum score of 70% to even be considered for an interview. It is in people's best interest to prepare for the exam and our aim is to help people prepare for this test so that they will pass with an outstanding score and increase their probability of being asked for an interview.

When customers call our 800-number, we fully describe our product and related services. Our customer service representatives follow a strict script to comply with Attorney General as well as post master guidelines to keep our company credible and ethical.
Our customer service representatives are highly trained, and many of them have taken the Postal Battery Exam themselves in order to better relate with customers that call in for our study guide.

Previously we had been having trouble with our website. It should be fully functional now, and the correct website is www.usworkalliance.com. Periodically we have maintenance that we perform on our website, but this usually is not during peak use hours. I encourage you to go to the website where you can access actual testimonials from those that have used our materials and how the materials helped them to get a job at the USPS.

We also have a refund policy that we believe works in the best interest of our customers. We offer a refund if: 1) you do not pass the exam, 2) if you pass the exam and are called in for an interview and don't get offered the job, 3) if you pass the exam and are called in for an interview and are offered the job and accept it and complete one full week of work, 4) if you do not have the opportunity to take an exam in your area for one year.

Due to the nature of this website, many people are misled about our business. While sites like these provide an important service, they also spread misinformation. We would be happy to answer any questions you or anyone else may have about our company. Please call our customer service hotline at 800-584-1859 with any further questions or comments.
