I was at the end of my megaupload subcription, and I was shopping around for a new data storage network. A buddy suggested I try Usenet.nl becuase it was more open. I decided to give it a shot, and signed upfor the trial which was a dollar.
I proceeded to thier trial and payed the 1 eurovia PayPal, "Big Mistake"..I tried downloading a 7.5gb file which stopped at 7.2gb, and wouldn't continue going. The Usenet.nl kept telling to proceed I needed to purchase more GBs or packages to continue and I was at my limit. I sayed ok, megauploads and rapidshare had limits per day and I should wait maybe this was the same. I tried for 2 days stright and the software kept telling me to purchase a package or upgrade to a plan. I said forget it I lost 1 euro on something I never got, plus the content had nothing of interest anyway. I walked away thinking it was useless with Usenet.nl.
Two weeks later I was checking my emails and statments, and ran accross a bill that stated I was charged 99euros or $137.07usd for an entire year subsciption to Usenet.nl via PayPal. I was never wanrned, never informed this was going to happen, it just processed and withdrew my credit done. What makes this company a real scam is they don't charge a monthlyfee if you miss the trial, the just downright go for the kill and chargeyou an entire year. God forbids you forget again it's another years charge.
I googled Usenet.nl, and the second all time hit for this site is "Usenet.nl scams", it seems they prey on megaupload and rapidshare users. I printed up close to 50 pages of blogs which attested Usenet.nl is a scam. They already said I will get my money back so I can do is tell the world how Usenet.Nl ripped my off.

we are sorry to hear about your problems with usenet.nl and with our service.
To make sure it is clear what our service is all about we would like to explain what Usenet.nl is and how it works.
Usenet.nl is an usenet provider which comes with easy and safe software to enter the worldwide network of the usenet. That means, Usenet.nl provides you with access to the usenet and is not responsible for its content! Our service is comparable to the service of your Internet provider.
Unfortunately, a fiber opic cable was accidentally cut with one of our providers. It will probably be fixed by tonight.
If you have further questions or remarks, please email us at response@usenet.nl. We will gladly come back to you.
All the best,
Your Usenet.nl Team

what's happen to me

So I go another month on 1/2/2013 they take another $15.00 and now I can't download anything. I post a email to customer service and they tell me that I should get a response in about 29 hours. I search for there phone number on there site and couldn't find any I found this site and there was there phone number, I called and got a rude person on the other end that said that nobody was getting any downloads because of a fiber opic cable problem.
I don't believe that because there site is up and we can download there software. you can search there site but you can't find any files to download. I beleive that if there was a problem with that cable it would effect all of there service not just a part of it. even so why don't they divet the downloads to thew lines that are working. I know that when a bolder broke our towns fiber Opic cable they had it fixed within 2 hours as a regular line and fix completely in two days So I don't know why they don't have it fixed within a reasonable amount of time like hours. but it still don't excuse the rude person on the phone either.

We would like to apologize for any inconvenience you had with Usenet.nl.
To make sure it is clear what our service is all about we would like to explain what Usenet.nl is and how it works. Usenet.nl is a usenet provider which comes with easy and safe software to enter the worldwide network of the usenet. It is fairly simple to gain access: all you have to do is signing up on our website and you can start. The first 14 days, the so called trial period, are completely for free and you can check out all about our program. After that period, if you do not cancel within 14 days, you enter the full membership depending on what package you chose (as mentioned during the sign-up process as well as in the TOS). You can cancel anytime by using the Cancel Button or by sending us a Support inquiry, which both can be found in the member area, or by mail or email.
However, it is not our intention to give incorrect or untruthful information on our website or hide anything referring to the trial period or the contracts. If you had any problems with our service, if there is something you would like to mention or if you have any suggestions on how to improve the transparency on our website, please contact us at mediarelations@usenet.nl. We will gladly come back to you.
All the best,
