VCS Milford Veterinary Care Specialists Milford Negligent and Disrespectful Vet provider Milford, Michigan

A top winning smooth coat Chihuahua's life and future ability to produce was put at significant, unnecessary, and continuing risk due to a careless and avoidable error at the VCS Milford facility. They closed the incision from a csection with an afterbirth still in the female. If the female doesn't pass the afterbirth after each puppy, they can get a potentially life threatening infection and die. This is common knowledge amongst breeders and veterinarians. This monumental mistake resulted in the death of 4 puppies and a very sick mother with a 105 degree fever. It was never mentioned to the owner, on any of her charts, and no antibiotics were prescribed. VCS Milford is now coming back and saying that they did it intentionally.

If this was the case, antibiotics and notification to the owner should have been given so all parties could be prepared. For some reason, honesty doesn't seem to be their best policy! They refused to meet with the client face to face saying he didn't merit a meeting because their time is too valuable. This is after he spent $1600 on the csection and over $500 on the aftercare from the mistake they made. What vet charges for rechecks and services that are a result of their negligence? They then told him and numerous of his supporters that emailed that breeders are just out to make money and don't care about their animals, which is NOT the case. I hope no one else makes the mistake of going to this facility and risking their pet's life. They are truly unprofessional providers and should not be practicing medicine!
