I was quoted $100 for 2 telephone lines to be installed and connected by Verizon for our new company. When I received a bill for double the $100 I was quoted I tried to call Verizon and sent the company a certified letter explaining the facts. I also mentioned in the letter the horrible customer service Verizon practices - 1) Doubling a quote 2) Making a client or customer wait on the telephone for almost 40 minutes and or switching the client numerous times without solving the problem. 3) Asking for a manager which has been ignored and has gotten a partial response to my complaint. 4) Verizon without warning, a letter, or email disconnected the business telephone line. 5) Charging my company an extra $100 bill and not explaining it when challenging the charge and asking for an explanation. 6) Due to lousy customer service we are expecting Verizon to attempt to charge us a reconnection fee. We expect a reconnection fee to be reversed or waived due to the problems we are having with Verizon. Our letter follows - Malkas Refrigerant Abatement of Central Virginia Customer Service Manager?, Ref: Acct#000736916644 75Y Billing $228.24 5/6/2010 $60 Payment Ref: Acct#0104730908306 Billing $99.00 NJ Billing? 2cd Letter 5/23/2010 Earlier today I had horrible experiences dealing with your company. I tried to call your BUSINESS CUSTOMER SERVICE Department, to discuss this bill and was on hold for about 40 minutes. During that time I was switched and routed by 4 of your so called customer service people to residential and equipment customer service 3-4 times. The only thing good about your people was they all gave me the wrong phone numbers just in case I was disconnected (800 688 2880) (800 826 2355) (800 328 1536), I must have won the lottery because I was disconnected. One of your so called customer service people insulted my intelligence by trying to read me your bill and justifying the bogus charges. This as the account indicates was a final bill for a brand new company. Due to your quote and charges for internet service and basic phone service I had to utilize another company (Clearwire) As of today, not only did one of your people read me this bill but I have 2 bills for different charges. (1) $99.00 (2) $228.24 If any of your managers can read please get back to me with an explanation of these bogus charges. As I stated to your initial people, we are a brand new company, and never expected such prices. If nothing can be done about this please tell me what I have to do to get a job with Verizon so I can offer such prices, rip off the public, and make clients wait on the phone for about 40 minutes and still not answer them correctly. What is this NJ Billing? When we left NJ everything was paid by our lawyer and realtor with money that was held in escrow. Can anyone at Verizon read, and speak English? Does your management practice customer service? What is your company definition of customer service?
