VISION Security misrepresented and used fraud and deception tactics to enter my home and upgrade my already installed DEVCON Security system. On June 11, 2013 @ 6:15 pm. Mr. Jacob Ohl of Vision Security knocked on my door and stated to me that, DEVCON security has sent them (Vision Security) to do a free upgrade on my DEVCON security system, at no charge, and no contract. He stated that they had everything with them to do the job. I asked him, what was the upgrade to involve, because I wasn't told anything by DEVCON. He stated that they had to update the panel, because they found out that the home invaders were cutting the phone lines and this update was to put a new panel with a cell phone chip so that if there was a cut phone line the alarm would use a cell phone service to contact first responders. Again he stated that there was no charge and no contract to sign. The technicians came and replaced the new panel and left. Meanwhile Mr. Ohl stated that I needed to sign a form he had which needed to be signed to keep my reduced cost at $44.99 per month, which was less that my original cost of $51.95 with DEVCON. He then stated that he needed a voided check. I asked him if he was going to charge my account. He said no, the voided check would help them to make sure that my payments were still going to the same account.

He then told me to give it 5-7 days before I called DEVCON to tell them how well it was working. On June 18th I was making out my mid-month bills when I see a withdrawal from a Security Network Services company for $48.70. I immediately called Vision Security to inquire what was going on. The agent told me that it was my first month payment. I told him what I was told by Mr. Ohl, and he said that what I signed was a contract no matter what I was told. And if I wanted to get out of the contract I must pay 75% of the 5 year cost which was appx. $2175.00. I told him that that was not going to happen, because I was told different by Mr. Ohl. I then went on-line to VISION Security FACEBOOK page and posted a status telling what Vision had perpetrated on my wife and I. I also went to my Facebook page and posted the same thing and issued a warning to all of my FB family and friends.  Later that night I received a phone call from a gentleman stating that he was from the VISION Security Fraud div. and wanted to talk to me. I told him everything that had transpired. His comment was that he would investigate it and get back with me to settle this one way or the other. He then said that I must remove the posting on my Facebook status. I told him that would happen when everything was squared away.  Nothing further has transpired.

I then called Devcon to inquire what to do, and they put me in touch with their payment manager © Monitronics. The fraud manager, Mr. Steven Rustin told me that this was a fraud. DEVCON does not use that type of practice, nor was there any upgrade necessary. He stated that this was an ongoing problem with VISION security services. They have had many complaints against VISION, and Mr. Jacob Ohl and his tactics. He also stated to me that he was going to investigate also.  I told him I wanted my system restored the way it was. The techs will be here on July 2, between 12-4. He also stated that I needed to contact the city police, and the DA. This has been done.  The police told me that I needed to file a Civil Suit. This is where I am at. The whole matter was that they (VISION) installed their equipment and removed DEVCON equipment and are trying to charge me for their services which I did not seek nor request.
