I am one of those several unfortunate folks bought VIZIO 3D TV during Nov 2011 Black Friday sale from Walmart. Never expected that VIZIO sell such a low life TV with very good features and a very good price only during black friday.
MODEL : M3D421SR.
Started using 5 months after purchase. Kept it in storage as there was another TV already in use and lack of space. Was working nicely for a year almost.
22nd May 2013 suddenly lines appeared on the screen and picture and sound went off. Did some research on the internet found many victims of same purchase.
Haven't ever experienced similar issue black friday purchases from sony, dell, samsung or philips earlier. This is insane and make TVs that will last little over year and goes bad. $600 is not small money as well.
Called service and was told that out of warrant so they cannot which is fair. They gave number to call as HD repair another compnay and they said, they don't have parts for this TV and cannot help.
DO NOT BUY VIZIO TVs as I see so many complaints on other models too.
