VMC Satellite - DISH Network. 30 Day Money Back Guaranteed BUT NOT GUARANTEED!! ripoff Great Falls, Virginia

In late May I called an 800 number out of the phone book is advertised as Dish Network Sales. I called and ordered the Dish Network 30 day money back guarantee. The Dish Network Sattelite T.V. was installed in my house. Since the time the installer left my house after he installed the sattelite dish, I had problems of not getting any signal of service.

I had called the installer many times to get it fixed. The installer showed up many times to fix it, but it was never fixed properly and completely. I called Dish Network before the 30 days was up and ended my service with Dish Network, and returned all of their equipment. I was fully refunded by Dish Network in August.

When I was in the process of returning the equipment to Dish Network in June, I received a letter from VMC Sattalite Inc. in Jyly that they were going to send me to collections for deactivating my agreement before the 12-18 month period. I called Dish Network many times, and they had told me to disregard the letter, and that I have a $0.00 balance. Once I received my monies back from Dish Network and was told by Dish Network that I have a $0.00 balance and was told to disregard the letter I received from VMC Satelite Inc.

I had gotten rid of all of my paper work that I had with Dish Network. Three months later I received another important letter from VMC Satellite Inc. warning me that they are going to send me to the collections. I called the number on the letter (VMC Satellite Inc.) and customer service representative told me that I was getting charged $290.00 due to because I broke the agreement with Dish Network.

I called Dish Network again and was told again to echnore the letter. I called VMC Satellite again, and the representative told me that they are a third party vendor of Dish Network, and that I broke the agreement with them as their agreement if for 18 months of service of Dish Network. I was very angry and called Dish Network back and ended up speaking to a customer service associate in their corporate office.

I was then told that there was a third party vendor involved that actually sold me the satellit for Dish Network Services, and I am held responsible for the deactivation fee. This was the very first time I heard of a third party involved. (I DID NOT CALL VMC SATELLITE FOR SERVICE,, I CALLED DISH NETWORK FOR SERVICE). I think that this is very misleading and false advertisement.

I feel that I was set up, and was not told the proper information in the beginning that there was a third party involved. The customer service associate from Dish Network told me that VMC Satellite is a vendor of theirs, and takes their customer service sales calls. I told her that, that was misleading information and that I did not call VMC Satellite.

I called DISH NETWORK for service, NOT VMC SATELLITE Inc.!

She at Dish Network would not do anything for me, and told me that I need to call VMC Satellite, and settle it with them.

I feel that I was totally set up. This way they (Dish Network and VMC Satellite) would get their monies anyways).

Now I am getting a letter from a collection agency for VMC Satellite for $520.85.
