We bought a Kidsjamz Studio and one month to the day it stopped working.I called toys are us and the said it is under Vtech warranty for two years so give them a call.
When I called Vtech I got stupid read off the screen trouble shooting directions. I told them it wont turn on. Three days of phone calls and more stupidness they finally said fine send it back to them in B.C....(I live in Ottawa,Ontario)at my expense. I said no your warranty covers shipping to and from (read the small print)they finally said fine they will send me an E-mail with the shipping label.
Two days later I had to call back to find out when they are sending me the E-mail and they said it's being sent.Another day passed and another call I finally got the E-mail. Sent them the box and 5 weeks later I get a box back WITHOUT the Kidsjamz Studio but two other toys in place. I called them right after getting this box and their reply was the Kidsjamz was discontinued so we sent the price equivalency in other toys.
I said to them I already own the two toys they sent and what do I want with another two?Plus a phone call or E-mail ASKING if I want something else would have been nice.(**side note-Toys r Us was willing to replace it but I would have used my extended warranty and I said no because Vtech said they will replace it|.)Now I have 2 toys I don't want or need, my 4 year old doesn't have the gift he asked Santa for and got,(he loved it) and I have to explain to him that Vtech said F**K IT we'll give him other crap instead.
Update** A week later and no reply, so I called them back and they are willing to send me my broken and I can deal with Toys R Us. I said what if they don't have any left and he said oh well,Hopefully they do. This is after I spent just under $3000.00 last Christmas on vtech toys.ToysRus has one left and I have to wait for them to send me a label to ship back the two other toys and then they will send me back the broken one.(probably another 4 weeks).
AVOID VTECH TOYS,CUSTOMER SERVICE MEANS NOTHING TO THEM!
