This company cannot seem to keep its bill in order or explain how the billing is computed. They only have answering machine attached to their telephone and hardly ever return calls to consumers. They have continually made meter reading errors. Some so obvious as to have 6 digit readings on 5 digit meters! But they insure you that your historical billing was accurate even though they never seem to audit records for such red flags or inconstancies. In fact, they never would have adjusted my bill for the month in question unless I brought it to their attention.
Many suspicions have existed in my senior park for years due to sporadic and odd billing amounts. I wonder how many and how long these other seniors on all their properties have been defrauded. I just learned last week that the primary reader for my park was terminated. You will never guess why...for "CURBING"! A term used when a reader guesses at the numbers without reading your meter. This is illegal and punishable by jail time according to the PUC. This particular reader was caught curbing from his kitchen table and finally terminated! So the question must be asked, are all these odd and seemingly inaccurate readings and dollar amounts worthy of suspicion? After being on vacation and returning to a $1,000.00 electric bill which is $900 more than normal tells me we must be suspicious. You would think that the agency would initiate an audit after such an incident. Instead they just assure us it was a onetime event, yeah right, like we know that.
They are crooks and get away with anything they can, at least until someone with authority will look into them.
