Edward Hornsby bid on remodeling a house for me. I had plans and drew each room with work to be done.  All building material was to be high grade.  He gave me references who turned out to be related or else he'd charged huge sums of money to .  Homes he stated he'd remodeled or built turned out to be done by someone else.  He was given a contract which he signed.  My mistake was only having it notorized and signed at the bank.  It contained detailed instructions, stated what the whole project required. Floor plans was included and a list of where everything went, type of material, photos of material to be used, and it had been drafted to scale with additions whcih were to be added on.

He would not show up to work.  Work was to be completed by December 19th.  To speed him up, I bought material and had it delivered.  He tried jacking the price up on everything.  Equipment I owned, he stole.  Witnesses saw him take table saws, drills, and ladders to name a few items.  He was suppose to add a sunroom and a porch on back with a deck and ramps.  He jerked wiring out and did not leave enough space to have outside house lights.  He knocked out windows and doors which were to stay.  Brought a tablesaw inside the house after the flooring had been redoneto saw wood for a closet,ruined the floors and knocked a hole thru a new door.  He took a small bathroom sink from my other home to use here as a plant sink where a huge cabinet and commercial size sink was to be placed.  Placed two differant colors of siding on my home.  Tore the ceiling out of the bathroom after the new fixtures and floor was placed in..left it down.  He would scream and yell at me.  Threatened me.  Demanded extra money.  I was afraid of him.  He tried to get me to go with him.

He did not add the second bathroom.  He was paid to have the house replumbed and rewired, add insulation (more).  By Feburary he still was not finished.  He went into my personal items.  The floor safe that only he knew where it was concealed was taken out of the house, loaded into my trailer and along with several thousand dollars of new material and appliances was stolen.  Cash, jewelery, and guns were taken that were in the safe.  He left off a whole porch, bathinside and an extra bath downstairs.  The deck and ramps were not built and also a carport.  All the work he did, I've had to pay to have  redone.  Outside faucets and wiring broke or was faulty.

The couners were wrong, he used a small bathroom faucet that did not fit or reach into but one side of the kitchen sink.  Gutters were never bought or placed.  He bullied me and would act like he had a gun he was shooting at me.

Roughly, he owed me about 35,000.00.  I've spent close to 80,000.00 to just redo things where it would be safe and not a fire hazard.  Pipes burst.  He ran over a brand new septic tank and laughed.  He kept telling me he had a brother in prison for murder and he could go here too, watch tv all day and get fed.  This man was referred by Cook & Sons Bldg which was owned by Rodney Cook.  They wanted to e paid so lied to people about the quality of his work.  They went bankrupt.  Edward Hornsby has done so many women and elderly people like this but no one has stopped him.  I'd allow anyone to see what he did that can't be fixed.  I have photos of everything and sticky notes were left on the walls for almost a year.  There is not enough space to list all the errors he made.  I lived out of town and was taking care of two of my aunts who have since died.  Do nOT use this man.  He will cheat you.  he does lie & smiles while doing so.
