After giving me a 14 day trial for $4.95, Value Pass charged my credit card $99 without giving me notice or  without sending me an invoice.   I called them and they would not refund the $99.  This week they sent me an invoice for a $99 renewal fee.  I cancelled Value Pass before the $99 was taken from my credit card.  However, I still had to pay the $99 a year ago.  I never used the Value Pass nor had any intention to do so.  If they had sent me an invoice or notice a year ago, I would have immediately cancelled the Value Pass.

#2 Consumer Suggestion

BEFORE ordering your 14 day trial, you have to check a box that says....

AUTHOR: Ken - (USA)

" By clicking submit  I acknowledge that I have read and agree to the offer terms and conditions....you can't sign up without marking the box on the order form.

Here's what you should have read...

Offer Terms and Conditions

1. You have elected to apply and enroll in the Valu-Pass Membership program.

2. The term of your contract is one (1) year from the date of enrollment certification.

3. At enrollment certification, you will be charged $4.95 to initiate your trial period. Your annual membership payment in the amount of $99.00 will be billed 14 days from your enrollment certification. These charges will be billed to the form of payment that you provided us today.

4. This agreement will renew at the end of each one (1) year period unless Valu-Pass elects not to renew your Membership or you notify us of your intent not to renew pursuant to these terms prior to the end of the current year.

5. You will have fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of your enrollment certification to evaluate and test the program prior to your initial membership charge. If at any point in time you choose to cancel you must call our Member Services Department at 1-866-581-4705 and you will be given a cancellation confirmation number. You agree that your membership will not be canceled until you receive such number. Upon cancellation, Valu-Pass will discontinue future billing.

6. If you do not cancel during the first fourteen (14) calendar days, we will assume you have elected to continue in the Valu-Pass Membership program. Your membership will then automatically renew each year at that year's term commitment rate until you notify Valu-Pass at least thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of your current term.

Guess you somehow missed this important little item.

No, I don't work for them.
