Just plain and simple, they are ripoff artists. Very high rates and poor service. this company should not in bussiness. I want nothing to do with them. I have tried to get refinanced but no luck. I have great credit too but I just might have to ruin that because I'm thinking about just letting the mobilehome go.

You need to file for bankruptcy and let it go back! First of all I work in mortgage and no they do not refinance or for that matter finance loans for mobile homes. I can't tell you any bank that will finance a mobile home. My company will not finance a mobile home because they have no value and are cheaply made and not good resale value. Please run and give it back. If you file a chapter 7 you can give it back and they can not come after you and in two years you can get a FHA loan for a real house. If you file chapter 13 you can still give it back and again they can not come after you but you will still have to wait 2 years after a chapter 13 completion. Good luck!

Weigh your options

Make sure you understand your options, if you did not like your rate you should have not taken the loan in first place. Also normally the rates for a mobile home are higher than a regular home and harder to find finacing (probably why you went with vmf). Also if you do let the mobile home go back you are still legally responsible for the differance from what they sell if for and what you owed on the loan and they will go after you for the balance which may include liens on anything you own, lawsuits, or garnishment of your wages depending on your state laws. I would check around with several diff banks or finance co to see if any would do refi on a mobile home first. Some local finance co do mobile home refi ( the one i work for does) but the rate may not be much better or worse.

I do conventional and FHA financing of manufactred homes. Rates and programs are just like stick built homes.
